Catalogs and flyers are important sales tools, but they can take a lot of time to create and can be costly to professionally produce. That was before the SAGE Catalog Studio came along, making it easy for you to create a custom marketing piece with just a few clicks.
What is the SAGE Catalog Studio?
Catalog Studio is a module in SAGE Workplace™ where you can create catalogs or flyers using the products in the SAGE database or by uploading your own products. You can find Catalog Studio on the main module menu. Once you’ve customized the catalog for your specific purposes, you can save it as a digital flip book or PDF to share digitally with clients and prospects at no cost, or you can have SAGE print it and ship it to you (usually within two business days). Here’s an example of a flip book to give you a better idea.
The Catalog Studio is also where you can order Ready-to-Go catalogs. Ready-to-Go catalogs are themed, curated, and pre-designed for you to use as a starting point for customization or as the actual catalog you share with clients. You can customize any aspect of a Ready-to-Go catalog by adding logos, changing layouts, uploading products, and more.
How Does it Work?
In the Catalog Studio, you have the option to create three types of custom publications.
- Digest Catalog: Your own digest-size catalog with your custom product selection. 40-page maximum. Size 5.5”x8”.
- Large Catalog: Your own full-size catalog with your custom product selection. 40-page maximum. Size: 8.25”x10.5”.
- Flyer: Your custom flyers can contain text, graphics, and products of your choosing. Size: 8.5”x11”.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started.
How To Use Custom Promotional Products Catalogs
You can use digital or print versions of the catalogs and flyers you create in SAGE Catalog Studio. Keep in mind, though, that for clients who particularly value eco-minded companies, a digital version offers the same information without using additional resources.
During a Sales Pitch
Have a big sales meeting on the horizon? Create a catalog of the items you’re presenting and leave it behind for attendees to look over after the meeting. (You can order as few as one to print.) Take it a step further and add their logo to every product to give them an idea of how the final product will look. After the meeting, send a follow-up email with the link to the free virtual flipbook as a reminder.
Marketing Collateral
Promote seasonal deals, specials, and promotions easily. SAGE catalogs are the perfect hand-out at professional networking events, sales meetings, trade shows, and to have displayed in your office. Here are some themes of current Ready-to-Go digest catalogs to give you some idea. We design new themes each quarter, so you’ll always have fresh options.
- Budget Friendly
- Eco-Friendly
- Health and Fitness
- Promo A to Z
- Top Tech Products
- New and Trending
Shipment Inserts
When shipping an order to a client, include catalogs or flyers in the box. When your customer receives their order, they’ll flip through the catalog and find ideas for their next order.
Email Signature Link
Share a URL link to your catalog in your email signature. Just include a line under your signature that says, “View our top products,” and you’ll be surprised how many views (and orders) you receive!
Tips to Help you Build an Effective Catalog
- Include contact information. Make it easy for the buyers to reach you by having your contact information and order steps prevalent on the piece so they don’t have to go searching. Be sure to include your phone number, email address, and website so they’ll know how to reach you to ask questions or place an order. We’ve made this easy with the addition of a customizable flipbook sidebar menu. The sidebar can include up to three links to use for specific calls to action in addition to presenting your contact information clearly.
- Include product descriptions. When you select the products from the SAGE database, the descriptions will automatically transfer over (along with the pricing information), but make sure to review these descriptions to ensure you’re answering any possible questions the buyer may have. You can turn the pricing on or off, depending on your specific needs.
- Quality images. Make sure the products you select come with quality images. This will help your catalog look top-notch and help the buyer clearly see the product and imprint areas.
Taking the leap to improve your marketing collateral doesn’t have to be time-consuming and expensive. Let SAGE make it easy for you with the Catalog Studio.
