Wasn’t it just last week we were getting ready to go to The PPAI Expo? Suddenly, it’s April! The stats keep coming no matter how we feel about the year moving along quicker than a ray of light (Madonna, anyone?). Without further ado, let’s take a look at what’s popular in the world of promos.

For the most popular categories, we have an upset. Shirts have taken over pens for the first time in a while. Caps and mugs have switched spots, while towels jumped up to number seven and bottles to number eight, pushing notebooks and awards down to numbers nine and ten, respectively.

The top increases and decreases for the month are a little odd. Beanies are up 39%, and gloves are up 31%. Meanwhile, sunscreens, fans, shades, and balls are down. Did the Groundhog of Promo see six more weeks of winter?

On to suppliers. Ariel Premium Supply Inc. fell from the number three spot to the number five spot this month, overtaken by Evans Manufacturing and PCNA. We have a new arrival to the top suppliers this month: Hub! They make their debut at number nine.
