SAGE Image Generator, Your New Creative Addiction

by | Jun 26, 2025 | New Features, SAGE Websites | 0 comments

The Image Generator for SAGE Websites and Stores is powered by AI technology. It’s not a search tool that spits out stock photos; it creates (to the best of its ability) the images you describe.

What Should I Use the SAGE Image Generator For?

Think of the SAGE Image Generator as your own personal graphic designer or photographer. Use it to create lifestyle images to accompany your products or emulate your target audience. Use it to create unique backdrops in headers. As a featured image for a blog post, it could illustrate the metaphor you’re discussing. Best of all, use the images it generates instead of purchasing costly stock photos.

How To Generate Images in SAGE

  1. Sign into your SAGE Member account
  2. Open the “Website” drop down in the menu on the left side of the page
  3. Click “Settings” to open another drop down menu
  4. Click “File Library”
  5. At the top of the page, click “Generate Image”
  6. Type a description of the image you want and select the desired size and shape
  7. Click “Generate Image”

The Image Generator will produce an image to review. You can decide whether you want to regenerate the image using the same prompt (i.e. description of the image you want) or if you want to edit the prompt and generate a new image. If you like the image, click “Use Image” and it will save to your file library and be available for you to use on your SAGE Website or Store. If you’d rather see something else, click “Regenerate Image.” Note: regenerating means you will lose the previous image, so save it by clicking “Use Image” if you like it.

Get the Most Out of Your AI Prompts

If, after regenerating the image a few times, you don’t see what you envisioned, try editing the prompt to be more specific. For example, a prompt of “a pen dueling with a sword” led to an image of a pen crossed with a saber. Both were the same size. Adding more specificity, the revised prompt said, “a pen defeating a sword.” From there prompts narrowed by saying “a pen crushing a sword” or “a battle between a pen and a sword.” You get the idea. You can also add details like “on a blue background.” Play with it a bit to hone your skills. Be careful, though; it’s fun enough to become addicting.

Recent Image Generator Enhancements

In April, the AI-powered Image Generator for SAGE Websites and Stores was upgraded and released as Version 2. The new model works twice as fast and creates more realistic-looking images with file sizes that are 75 percent smaller. All images created with the Image Generator belong to the user with no licensing or copyright concerns.

There are endless possibilities for the images you can create.
