A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does Pantone select the Color of the Year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Pantone, there isn\u2019t one big global meeting deciding the year&#8217;s color. Moreover, it\u2019s a collection of the art of color forecasting over the course of the year. A group of color-attuned people look at current trends in design and culture globally and continue the conversation until a unanimous decision is made at the end of the year. That\u2019s 365 days of \u201cWhat\u2019s your favorite color?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How long have they been doing this?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pantone is celebrating 25 years of the Color of the Year program! Since 1999, they have invited us to look at color differently by building a connection within it and through the art of human expression. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first Pantone Color of the Year was PANTONE 15-4020 Cerulean Blue. It served as an influential color backbone for designers around the globe.
