Okay, I’m not going to lie. I am a NERD for a clever tagline. Got a clever tagline? I’m all in. I’m there. Safety Made’s tagline? Pure gold. !T Happens with an exclamation point.
Tagline aside, we sat down with Paul Dubois, the founder of Safety Made, at The PPAI Expo earlier this year, to learn more about their offerings.
If you haven’t heard about Safety Made, they specialize in first aid, disaster preparedness, and personal hygiene for the promotional products industry. And best of all, they do one of my all-time favorite things in the promotional products industry:
✨ Kits! ✨
Let’s dive into a little bit of Paul’s background and his company. Paul first started within the promotional products industry about eighteen years ago with another supplier. “About six or seven years ago, I thought I could do it better so I created Safety Made, with the mission of doing high quality products, fast turn times, and trying to take good care of our distributor partners,” he said.
He first started with the Dorcy Flashlight line. Dorcy had been a great product in the industry for a long time, and he wanted to bring that back into the promotional products industry. So, he bought the licensing for that, which means that Safety Made has exclusive rights for the Dorcy Flashlights and Lifegear lines. After that came their signature first aid and safety kits. And they’ve continued to grow.
Just over the last few years, they’ve added a ton of decorating options like full-color imprinting, laser etching, heat embossing, heat transfer, and screen printing – which is their staple.
When it comes to customer service, Paul says that they strive to hit that in-hand date every single time. It’s their mission, and they never waver from it. They also work really hard to ensure that each one of their products is as high-quality as possible, like their hard-shell first aid kits.
Something really cool that they’ve done with those hard shell first aid kits is they’ve partnered with First Aid Only, the largest first aid company in America. They have something for every price point, too, like first aid kits for just $5, $15 compliance kits, and their larger first aid cabinets that are wall mountable.
As for the future? They’re looking to bring more high-tech products into the industry, like super high-lumen flashlights, which are suitable for safety courses and training.
Finally, we asked Paul for a quick, two-second elevator pitch. He said, “Think Safety Made for high quality, on-time delivery, and great customer service!” And I couldn’t agree more. We can’t wait to see those high-lumen flashlights and Safety Made’s bright future. 😎
