Did you know that businesses spend over $7 billion on consumable business gifts annually, according to Packaged Facts, the leading market research company for the packaged food industry? That’s a lot!
According to the latest PPAI Survey, 49.9% of business gift recipients would prefer to receive a food gift for the holidays.
Obviously, the food gift business provides a ton of potential – and that’s where Maple Ridge Farms comes in!

Distributors are often surprised to learn that 25% of their business comes from company store programs and another 25% from custom-designed gifts.
2023 is their 44th year in the gourmet food gift business, and Maple Ridge Farms is widely recognized primarily for three things: quality, reliability, and eco-responsibility.
Quality
Their mission has always been to be the highest-quality food gift company in the promotional products industry. They spend over $80,000 in their quality control department annually to ensure their products meet the highest quality control standards. They’ve even won over 25 PPAI Supplier Star Awards!
Their full-time staff members have an average of over 18 years of experience working with distributors. It’s their people who maintain this well-oiled machine, one that can carefully produce orders ranging from one single gift to over 30,000 gifts! Every one of their team members believes that when someone receives one of their gifts, they should be excited and thrilled with the quality. Maple Ridge Farms produces all of its gifts in an 85,000-square-foot facility in Central Wisconsin. In addition to their full-time staff, they bring in over 200 seasonal workers to produce their holiday gifts. And of course, they are as totally committed to quality as their full-time staff!

Interestingly, they did not start as a gourmet gift company. Their roots take them back to Latin America when founder and owner Tom Riordan went to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, to manufacture wooden gift boxes. He sold them to gourmet food companies, including some of the biggest names in the businesses like Williams-Sonoma and Hickory Farms. In 1979, they devised an exciting concept: “Let’s imprint a company’s logo on our hand-crafted wooden boxes and pack them with delectable cheese. What an incredible corporate holiday gift idea!” They proudly pioneered the idea of merging gourmet food with functional keepsakes, ensuring that recipients would cherish their gift long after the food had been enjoyed.
Social Responsibility
Based upon sales from their “Give Back” gifts, they have donated over $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity.
Their employees believe strongly in giving back to the community so their company focuses on the programs and issues that Maple Ridge Farms employees care about most.
Their passion means their company supports many community events‚ local churches‚ veterans’ organizations‚ homeless shelters, and more. They donate thousands of pounds of food to homeless shelters each year. They also match thier employees’ contributions to a variety of organizations.

Their Commitment to the Environment
Design: They design their gifts to be as earth-friendly as possible. On average, less than 3% of any gift needs to be sent to a landfill.
Reduce: Through the use of their website, they’ve been able to reduce the number of catalogs they print. Today, they print 300,000 fewer catalogs than they did a decade ago.
Reuse: The majority of their gifts include reusable boxes, collectibles, cutting boards, or desk accessories that will be used for years to come. Reuse is always good for the environment.
Recycle: They also strive to use recyclable packaging wherever possible. In addition, they recycle over 50 tons of paper and corrugated cartons annually!
Sustain: No rainforests have been damaged to create their gifts. All of their wood products are made from sustainable timber.

Saving the Rainforests: Cocoa, the principal ingredient of chocolate, needs the shaded canopy of the rainforest to grow. Nearly all of the chocolate used in their gifts is “Rainforest Alliance” certified, which ensures that the farms have met the environmental, social, and economic standards of the Sustainable Agriculture Network. The more chocolate we consume, the greater the need to preserve the rainforest!
That’s why they like to say: “Save the rainforest, eat more chocolate!”. And we’re more than happy to oblige!
At Maple Ridge Farms, they’re blending flavor, quality, and eco-fun to make your gifting game oh-so-delicious and eco-tastic. Taste the joy, gift the love!
