SAGE Product Updates: Q1 2023 Development Recap

The beginning of the year always seems to fly by, doesn’t it? And it moves particularly fast when you’re as busy as we’ve been with lots of development updates, enhancements, and even a whole new product release! In case you missed them, here’s a look back at everything we did in Q1!

The biggest development that came to SAGE Online and SAGE Web! This past quarter was the addition of the ESG/Diversity search filter. This filter allows you to drill down your search results to include only suppliers that are B Corp and CSR Certified and search for companies that are disability-owned, Hispanic-owned, LGBTQ+ owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, or minority-owned. You can now add any of these filters to your product, supplier, or decorator searches.

This initiative was conceived in partnership with PPAI’s DEI task force to make the industry a more inclusive and diverse space. Suppliers can upload certification documentation to mark their ESG/Diversity status through the SAGE Supplier Center.

If you have a SAGE Website, we’ve added a few new headers so you can easily refresh the look and further customize your site just in time for spring!

The biggest news this past quarter wasn’t even an update! It was the release of our brand new web-based SAGE Supplier Center. And let me tell you, the development team really knocked it out of the park with this one!

This new platform has all the same functionality as the Windows-based version with lots of exciting additions. Through an easy-to-use interface and access to more statistics than ever before, this new portal makes it easier for supplier Advantage Members, including Mac users, to access and update your product data from any device that connects to the internet.

The dashboard is really where the heart of your operation lies. Here you can see your profile health – meaning you can see what might be hindering your profile and products from receiving more engagement in SAGE Total Access. You can ensure your profile is complete and your current products are active, and if any are expired or need to be verified, you’ll see a little alert. You’ll also be able to see a quick and easy-to-digest breakdown of your stats, how much you’ve spent on your monthly advertising budget, plus check out industry news and which trade shows are coming up that you may want to sign up for!

On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see everything you need to manage your account. In the profile tab, you can upload your information, your policies, how distributors can upload their artwork, your catalogs, and more.

Your products page is the lifeblood of your business! Here you can upload all of your products and update them individually or in bulk.

The advertising section allows you to select and sign up for digital advertising opportunities within SAGE Total Access. You can see which ads are live, need artwork, or are pending approval. You can also edit your ads, see the history notes, and view your ad stats.

Moving down the line, the performance and stats area allows you to see which products are doing well, which are not, and how your profile stands out amongst the competition. You can also view the top 10 categories searched, the top 10 most popular suppliers, and the top 10 most popular products in SAGE Total Access in real time.

The orders area is just that – where you can keep track of all of your orders, update their statuses, search for a specific order, and more.

And probably one of the most exciting additions to the new Supplier Center – the SAGE Community page! SAGE Community is an industry-specific, collaborative social network where suppliers and distributors can share news, best practices, ask questions, and connect and engage with other industry professionals all-in-one platform. SAGE Community has long been available for distributors to network with their industry peers and now, with its addition to the Supplier Center, it’s open to everyone in the industry.
