June is here, and we are definitely feeling summertime in Dallas – with highs in the 100s projected for next week… I feel like we’re gearing up for a warm one, and it looks like you all are too!
For the top product categories for May, we see that not only have bottles and mugs flip-flopped, but so have towels and tumblers! We also welcome sunglasses and lanyards to the list, further cementing that summer and convention season is here.
Moving on to our highest increases from April to May, we see that erasers have increased by 109% – most likely gearing up for the new school year ahead of us. Styluses and bandages follow at 85% and 71%, respectively.
For our highest decreases from April to May, cookies decreased by 36% – I feel like the Cookie Monster would be really upset by this. We also have computers and postcards down, both at 41%.
Now, let’s take a look at the complete list of the top 25 most viewed products in SAGE Total Access, including SAGE Online, SAGE Web, and SAGE Mobile. Can coolers have really taken over the list though some honorable mentions for May are draw-string bags, pens, and sunglasses – with even some sunscreen lip balm making its way to number 18.
So, what do you think, do any of these surprise you? What do you think it’s going to look like for June? I think we’re going to see more school supplies sneak back in since back-to-school will be right around the corner. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Thanks for the information.
I have a customer who is taking his employees to the Bahamas and wants to give them a goody bag to take with them. I got a few good ideas from your information.
My list includes a waterproof plastic bag for cell phones, keys, etc.
Sunglasses, beach bag with a waterproof lining, floating keychain, small fold-up bag or drawstring backpack for shopping, Yeti tumbler, flask, flying disk, is there such thing as a waterproof pen? I haven't looked yet, small fan - handheld, reusable rain poncho, stress ball - may be in the shape of what the company makes, small cooler bag, lip balm, sunscreen lotion, collapsible can cover, cooling towel, ornament about their Bahama event, small binocular, collapsible cup.
It's 2 am EST. That is all I can think of right now.
I would appreciate any other ideas related to the beach, that are practical, or not.
Thanks,
Marilyn Jamal
